I think we all can admit that while pregnant, we spend many an hour scrolling through Pinterest nursery decor. Drooling over beautiful nurseries, pinning cute baby outfits, we’ve all done it! But if you think that in reality, a stunning nursery is out of reach for you, you’re wrong. I’ve scoured the web for UK based sites that sell gorgeous nursery items at a price that won’t break the bank. Here are my recommendations!

Natural wood, neutral colours and florals are big trends for stunning Pinterest nursery décor

You’ll need somewhere to store all those adorable little baby outfits! Why not display them in an ultra-stylish open wardrobe like this one for £49.00. It comes in a natural wood or with a white accent, to suit your nursery décor. In comparison of similar items on the market, it’s amazing value for style.

The main focal point of a nursery is without a doubt, the crib. The best way to enhance the look of any crib, and accent a Pinterest-worthy nursery, is with the bedding. Dark, earthy florals are a strong trend at the moment, and there’s a fantastic selection of crib bedding on Alexandalexa. (Pictured)

The essentials don’t have to be boring. There’s nothing worse than going through the trouble of decorating a beautiful nursery, only for it to be let down by ugly nursery basics. This cherry blossom changing mat cover makes a beautiful upgrade for a cheap and cheerful changing mat. Designed to fit most mats.

I painted some simple mountains on my sons nursery wall for a calming nature theme. It took less than a day and no special artistic talent! It’s just simple triangles and a snow cap. Find more recent photos of my sons nursery here*

Perhaps you’re not usually the adventurous type when it comes to your decor? Well, the nursery is probably the one room where you can really let loose. Have fun with it, after all, it’s the room where your child’s imagination will bloom and make-believe is abundant. These Anthropologie wallpapers are exquisite examples of creative interior design.

Top tips to keep the budget low;

  • Keep things gender neutral as much as possible if you’re planning to have more children. When they also use the room in the future you won’t have to spend money on changes.
  • Pick one wall to paint a mural on or to wallpaper. If you want to keep the budget really tight, chose the smallest wall in a rectangular room. If you use a highly detailed wallpaper pattern it will still make a statement.

I hope these finds have proved that Pinterest nursery décor isn’t just an unattainable dream! Leave a comment and tag your Instagram or Pinterest to share your dream nursery ideas or makeovers.
